What we do


We provide two types of support: 

  • Short-term emergency assistance to young people who are homeless or need support because they are insecurely housed and vulnerable.
  • Long-term support to help young people address the causes and consequences of homelessness and to develop the skills and confidence to bring about change in their lives.


Clients can access the following services:

Information, advice and sign-posting to agencies that can help with housing, health, benefits, training and work.

A warm, welcoming safe space where clients can relax, chat to volunteers, read a newspaper and play a board game.

A free telephone service for calls to immediate family, key workers and local agencies.

 

A fully stocked kitchen where clients can prepare and enjoy hot food in the company of others.

One-to-one support from an experienced Project Worker who helps clients to identify priority issues and develop plans for addressing those needs over time

Weekly creative and monthly outdoor activities that aim to develop new skills, confidence and reduce isolation.

Crisis financial support for the purchase of toiletries and basics like socks, shoes, coats and emergency travel.

We also run a prison liaison service, writing letters and visiting clients in local prisons.

We also offer the following facilities and activities:

A mailing address for client’s correspondence
Storage space for the personal effects of clients’ who are sleeping rough
Emergency clothing
Drop-in clinics with housing workers
